NATIONAL GALLERY OF VICTORIA - BUGATTI FAMILY 09/03/2008

NATIONAL GALLERY OF VICTORIA

THE BUGATTI FAMILY

The National Gallery of Victoria has adopted the three generations of the Bugatti family, Carlo, Ettore, Rembrandt and Jean for a major exhibition of furniture and interiors, sculpture and industrial design to be held in March 2009.

To announce the exhibition and to start the appeal for funds to purchase for the Gallery some major pieces by Carlo Bugatti the Gallery Director, Gerard Vaughan, held a reception at the Gallery on the 7th March. This was not only attended by several members of the Bugatti Club Australia but also featured Des Dillons T35B as an example of the work of Ettore.

The Club has offered its full support to the Gallery in respect to this exhibition. We encourage all members to follow the progress of this event and to set time aside in March 2009 when the Club intends to assist the Gallery at the exhibition opening.
